Operation Manager

Job Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role involves managing processes, leading teams, and implementing strategies to optimize operations and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
    • Develop, implement, and manage operational processes and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
    • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage operational staff, including setting performance objectives, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and onboarding of new team members.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Conduct regular reviews of processes and systems to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
    • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize operational performance.
    • Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting and controlling operational costs.
    • Ensure effective inventory management and supply chain coordination.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee and manage operational projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and resolve issues.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality and addressing customer concerns or complaints.
    • Implement strategies to improve customer service and enhance the customer experience.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, including performance metrics, financials, and project updates.
    • Analyze data to make informed decisions and drive operational strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in operations management or a related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of operations management principles and best practices.
    • Proficiency in operational and project management software (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office Suite).
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
    • Proactive and strategic thinker with a focus on results.

Preferred Qualifications:
