Job Overview:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of human resources functions within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies and programs, managing employee relations, recruiting and retaining talent, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
- Coordinate with department heads to determine staffing needs and job specifications.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Resolve conflicts and address employee grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Foster a positive work environment and company culture.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Oversee performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
- Assist with setting performance goals and career development plans.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews and benefits enrollment.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Manage employee benefits programs and liaise with benefits providers.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate and conduct onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to HR policies.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support decision-making.
- Manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, termination letters, and disciplinary actions.
- Organizational Development:
- Support organizational change initiatives and manage restructuring efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive employee engagement and retention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
