Job Overview:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supports strategic financial planning, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the organization’s budget, including preparing budget forecasts and variance analyses.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making, including profitability analysis and cost management.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and disclosures.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Develop and implement cash management strategies, including forecasting cash requirements and optimizing working capital.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Maintain and update internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Accounting Oversight:
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business initiatives and growth plans.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive cost efficiency and financial performance improvements.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial transactions.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, financial modeling tools).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
