Job Overview:
The Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics and supply chain operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, optimizing transportation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination:
- Plan, implement, and oversee logistics and transportation activities to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to manage shipment schedules and delivery requirements.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they meet delivery deadlines and resolve any issues that arise.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage and oversee inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available while minimizing excess inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
- Transportation Management:
- Organize and coordinate transportation logistics, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and managing shipping documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective service.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers and transportation providers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and delivery reports.

- Provide regular updates to management on logistics operations and any issues affecting delivery timelines.
- Process Improvement:

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Skills:

- Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, TMS).
